Kazincbarcika, Mátyás király út

This is the other end of the street where I grew up. In the communist era, when I was a child, it was named after Lajos Szabó (Szabó Lajos út), but I never knew who was that person.

Today the street is called Mátyás király út which means “Matthias King Street”. Isn’t it much nicer?

If you look at this picture very closely, in the middle, at the very end of the street, there is a yellowish spot – that was our house…

Oh, how I loved to walk or bike under those trees!

A typical view, as you walk along the street.
